London to Rio Part 3

Okay, you all are probably sure that I am in Cape Town and you are correct.  Have had some unexpected issues appear so a bit slow in getting back to blog.  Yes, some were internet.

I hope to make it through most of this quickly and also provide you with many fun pictures along the way.  I did do a bit of planning on this past leg so as to catch up while in Cape Town.

Work on the boat:

Yes you do get your hands dirty and you get to clean a lot... the bilges (yuk), the heads (toilets, YUK), the dishes when on Mother Watch, etc.

Mother Watch (fixing breakfast, lunch and dinner and being sure that there is hot water, Squash (some kind of fruit juice mix) and anything else that might pop up.  Clean up all the dishes, be on call for anything.

Once sail is up then someone has to go to bow and provide trim instructions by using hand motions for grind, ease or hold.
